Chocolate.

For thousands of years, it has been an object of passion. Commerce. Ritual. Passion. Culinary expression. And did we mention passion?

What is it about the fermented and roasted seeds from this odd tropical tree which brightens our mood, completes a meal, and makes children’s eyes twinkle? No culture abhors it. Few humans decline it. Most people need little excuse to indulge. And despite the common perception, if you remove all the added chemicals, artificial sweeteners, flavorings, and stabilizers, pure chocolate is quite healthy. It beats red wine in providing polyphenols and anthocyanins, and has even been associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.

At Cadence Cocoa, we do not manufacture our own chocolate bars. Instead, we source the finest chocolates in the world to offer chocolate tasting experiences for small to mid-sized groups of guests in the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC and Barcelona. We are IICCT certified chocolate tasters and international craft chocolate judges.

The experiences we offer are educational, fun, delicious, and tailored to meet your needs. We focus on the blossoming bean-to-bar movement which is bringing about a renaissance in quality craft chocolate devoid of toxins while celebrating modern concepts of fair trade with farmers, environmental stewardship, health benefits, and of course the enjoyment of one of the greatest flavors our planet has to offer.

Check out our services. And feel the passion rise.

A woman with curly hair and a red flower in her hair is eating chocolate. She holds a book titled 'Cacao Fin' in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other. She is dressed in ornate, vintage-style clothing and is surrounded by cacao pods, chocolates, and grapes. The background features an artistic, decorative design with leaves and floral motifs, and a sign reads 'Délice Passion Plaisir.'
